I am trying to get the date in this format YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS from parsedDate.
Sample code:
SimpleDateFormat sdf = new SimpleDateFormat(“yyyy-MM-dd’T’HH:mm:ss”);
String dateString = sdf.format(parsedDate);
System.out.println(dateString);

When I do System.out.println(“String”+dateString); after the above code, I’m getting below result.

Any idea why this happens.

You need to use two quotes in your string:
SimpleDateFormat sdf = new SimpleDateFormat(“yyyy-MM-dd’T’HH:mm:ss”);
String dateString = sdf.format(parsedDate);
System.out.println(dateString);

The extra quotes are matching the single quotes around the dd, the ddd in the pattern is actually after the d.
You can also use a raw string literal as a replacement for the single quotes, so you can remove the other single quotes:
SimpleDateFormat sdf = new SimpleDateFormat(r”yyyy-MM-dd’T’HH:mm:ss”);
String dateString = sdf.format(parsedDate);
System.out.println(dateString);
